I have had a few tiger botias and they all seem to be aggresive towards any other fish even Dempseys . One that i had would even compete with the Dempseys for the feeders that I put in the tank . Is this normal ?

I heard that they were very aggressive. It is probably normal. They also get fairly large too. So, they can be a handful.

Yes, I found that out when I took down a tank of smaller cichlids and put them in a 72 with 4 dempseys . I had a tiger in each tank and they did not work well together in one . I had to get rid of the smallest one .

I had a green tiger loach that was the terror of my tank. My poor clown loaches had frayed fins and became very skittish after a few weeks with this fish in the tank even though the clowns were three times as big. I finally traded him to the LFS. What a difference one fish can make to upset the balance. Too bad though because it was a really nice looking fish.
