help whit lowering the PH

Im setting up a Dsicus tank and my current PH is 7.4, Kh 5, GH 7 I want to lower the Ph to 6.5
I dont want to use any chemycals so I was think in peat moss, so the question is: Is it neceseary to boilet before I use it and how much shoud I use to a 120gal tank?
 
Use 2 cups or more. Boil it first for 1 minute, twice. This will remove the worst of the brown color.
