Im getting a new heater soon from www.bigalsonline.com
Here are the ones Im looking at: tronic 100w, rena cal top light 100w, marineland dual temp 100w. What are your experiences with these heaters? Id like to know which is the best of the 3, I think Im leaning toward the marineland one, but not sure.

Tronics are highly regarded and would be a safe choice.
I think the Marineland heaters are new enough that not many people have experience with them. I personally don't like the idea of having only two temp settings.
I have had bad luck with the Rena heaters and won't buy any more. I think they're nowhere near as good as, say, the Tronics or Ebo Jagers.

Everyone is going to say troinc or ebo-jager. I have two tronic 200 watts. They are great. Very high quality and work incredibly well. Can't go wrong with them.
Agreed, I would go with the Tronic out of that list. I also personally like the Visi-Therms.

I use ebo-jager heaters in my oscar tank, the glass is 2mm thick and is harder for the oscar to break.I have also used tronic heaters in other tanks with good results.

After a bit of a mix up with my order (didnt order just a heater), Im getting an ebo-jager. One of the items I ordered wasnt instock so I put the money from that item onto the ebo-jager. It was $6 or so more than the tronic. Should be here any day now.

ROLLIN, either heater, I think is a good choice.... I'm slightly on the Ebo side of heaters.
My Tronic got a leak just 2 days after I installed it. Piece of crap.
