The only thing I can think of that comes close to that name would be the Ruby Clown Cichlid, also known as the Bolivian ram, or Microgeophagus altospinosa. If that's so, they're great fish that are very colorful and are really only testy when breeding, and even then they're pretty mild. They're appreciate soft, acidic water, but seem to be pretty adaptable. The tiger barbs may be a bit to active for them, but I'm sure they'd be ok. How big of a tank and do you know whether or not they're a cichlid?

artaquatic.com has something called a "Crown Ruby Cichlid" but the site is currently down, so I can't gather any more info on them.

Voodoo is right, they are the bolivian ram......
they should be ok with the tiger barbs, but id suggest maybe another 2\3 to increasse the pack size, and limit any aggression aimed out of their group.........
you would be pushing it then with your stocking, need to maintain frequent partial water changes.......
