I've had my 37g FOWLR tank set up for close to two months now (not including cycle/curing time). I only have an ocellaris clown, midas blenny, sally lightfoot, and a few snails and hermits. I did have a royal gramma in the tank, but I lost him within a week. I've not found any fish that have personality or even swim about like my cichlids. The blenny hangs out under his rock most of the time unless it's feeding time - same with the sally lightfoot. Maybe I picked the wrong fish here, but they just aren't nearly as entertaining as my cichlids. Does anyone have any suggestions for fish with a bit more personality that aren't so timid?

I believe the Dwarf Angels are open water swimmers, and would fit perfectly in that size tank. ex. Coral Beauty, Bicolor Angel, Flame Angel.
Green Chromis I believe sometimes coax shyer fish out into the water column.

Add a second, young juvenile, ocellaris clown. It will pair with the first, and you will see a lot more activity. There will probably be a little sparring until the older (now female) clown shows the other who's boss, but they will spend a lot of time courting and hanging out after that.

Try A LemonPeel Angel, SailFin's have great personality but your tank is too small. Most of the fish you have are hiders so I can see why you are bored.
