Im getting a Baby Biorb (15L). And i have a few questtions

1. Can I use the Biorb 50W heater and this tank?

2. If I want real plants what do i need to do? (potting/substrate wise)

3. How many fish can i get in there? I dont want too many, just a few schooling and 2 or 3 bigger ones.

Thanks

the biorb has a 10W light, not enough to grow larger plants, but once it is matured you could grow crypts, java moss, hairgrass...

if it is 15L then you could probably get about 3-4 tetras and 2-3 2" fish

15L is about 4 gallons...the only thing I would put in there is a betta. Definitly not enough room for 3-4 tetras and 2-3 2" fish.

you might as well get a goldfish....

i have a 5 gallon tank with 4 1" red empress and a redtail shark. if the tank is matured there will be enough bacteria to be safe for 1" per gallon. i say if you take care of your tank then 1 1/2" per gallon is fine. water changes weekly/bi weekly are a must.

KCOOLEY Goldfish need 30G base per fancy species.... As for this topic....never put a goldfish in a small container. its not fair to the fish.....as for your tank...get a betta.

The majority of tetras are schooling fishes displays their best behaviors while in a large group. Keeping tetras in small numbers will stress them and may cause aggressive behavior among themselves.

I wouldn't recommend anything besides a betta, snails, small shrimps, or a few guppies in a 15L tank.
