How long is the gestation period? and how soon after the fry are born, can I let the female back to the population?

The gestation period is about 30 days I believe. And yes, you can let the female back into the population right after the fry are born. In fact, be sure to separate the fry from mom and any other fish as soon as possible or they will get eaten!
