How long should I wait until I add another fish. The current one, a blackray shrimp goby, is about an 1" long. There's 14 lbs of LR, with hopefully more in a few hours. I'd like to get a fire goby. Tonight, one week, one month? Thank you.

I usually wait at least a week. The bacteria beds shouldn't shift dramatically, and this should be enough time for the fish to settle in and find it's territory. If the fish still seems unsettled, or isn't feeding well, wait a little longer. It's always easier to get a fish to eat by itself (the reason quarantine is so nice!) than when it has to compete with others.

if you add a fire goby, be sure to provide a secure cover for your tank. they love to jump. i found mine a few weeks after i thought it had dissappeared. it was lying in the back of my tank, dried-dead... :(

its a pretty fish, though. I was thinking of buying one today... I did not, because the clowns where too tempting. They where really healthy and very active....So, the clowns won my heart this time ;)
