When you say "a clear stringy thing" do you mean mucus? If there are bubbles on its surface, are there bubbles on other surfaces in the aquarium?
Is your Oscar solo in his tank?

the ph is 7.0 and the temp is 26oc yeah it was like a musus im pretty sure the musuc caught the air bubbles from the air that come out of the filter(air tube connects to output) and i noticed today his eyes are eaither covered with the mucus or they lost their colour to
what treatment do u think i should use
no i have 2 oscar and a c.a.e in my 12ft(with the sick oscar)
and a 4ft with a pair of breeding oscars
2ft with a sleepy cod
