Anyone have one of these snails that can tell me some info on them? Are the reef safe? Are they good at eating hair algea? Any info will be good...

Aren't you worried about it eating your soft coral? I don't know a lot about your cowerie but, a lot of them love corals have you noticed any of them missing? It also will probably eat other critters in your tank like other snails and mabey your hermits. I'd say not reef safe!
I had a cowrie for a long time. There are many species and some are not reef safe but mine was. If you decide to go with them I would keep my eye on it (and your corals.)
