i've gotta ask - what camera did you take that with?
if i tried that i'd get a blurry splodge - my camera's great for macro as long as you don't zoom in (olympus c-1 zoom 2MP)
any idea what feature gives clarity like that? cheers

I am using a Nikon coolpix 880. I shoot using a flash and macro setting no zooming. It is 3.34 mp.Also about 1/2 stop negative.

i called up a lfs and they said that the wether loach isn't allowed to come into Australia so where are you from and where did you get yours from because i cant find any.!!

If you look at the location of the original poster, you can see that they are from Canada. The weather loach is a big problem in many places due to the fact that it can survive a more temperate climate, and it doesn't surprise me that Australia has banned it. You mates are probably the best in the world at protecting your native species, but the price you pay for that is a reduced list of exotic species which you may keep. Still, though, I have to tip my hat to you lot.
im in australia and i can get weather loaches in easy as pie at my shop thats odd cause people say they are banned and some say they are it weired ill ring the aquarium and see and the fisheries australia.
DLT, can you guys get one of the weather loaches and not the other? I've heard of that happening in some countries and I know that, for some reason, the Anguillicaudatus Dojo colonizes non-native areas a little better.
i used to have a weather loach a long time ago, the hence the name due to the're reactions to lower/higher baro levels and pressure in air, which they hide or move around quickly. It died though in my first tank ever....
