Help i woke up this morning and found mt tank is covored with what look like spider webs all over everything and my half black dwarf angel fish is on the sand not moving it is breathing but not moving. I would put my hand in to try um out but he/her is behind a big thing of live rock please tell me what could have done this and what you think i should do

what are the water parameters?

how long has the tank been established?

how long has the angel been in there?

Perhaps you could try to siphon out the webs or aim a powerhead at the and then remove it.

Best of luck and God bless you and your tank.

What are your water params lucas! does it look like any of your corals have melted? Let us know as soon as possible what's changed? Tell us every thing you can about your tank !

I have had my tank for about a year and a half and its been great but now im having all kinds of problems.

I took water into my lfs today and they told me my PH is low so they gave me "Reef Builder Raises Carbonate Alkalinity" I also took the fish in and they said they cant find anything wrong with it and told me it was prolly the PH and after i fix that he should perk back up. I dont know if this is true or not but i hope so

I have had the angel in my tank for 2 weeks

the spider web stuff seems to be mostly gone now so thats good.

My bubble coral looks like its melted and i did first see my angel under the live rock the bubble is on but the angel is on the other side of the tank now.

I dont know what else i can tell you all but any help would be greatly appreciated

adjust your ph slowly not by more than .5 point per day until it gets to 8. I'd do a pretty big water change like 25%. Again I'd adjust the ph slowly it's going to take a lot of water but, you have corals and you'll make a bad situation worse if you go to fast. I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems. Keep us posted and we'll be happy to help you out!

Thank you so much for all you help i will begin right away. Do u think there is nay hope for my angel fish? he is breathing but not moving at all he has been in the same place the entire day sept for when i took him into the lfs

what is your filter like? do you have a sump/refug? canister filter? How much water current do you have in the tank? Do you have a cleaner shrimp? They eat diseases and clean diseases off fish. Also Golden Neon Goby do the same thing.

Do you have a PH test kit? if not GET ONE... cannot have an aquarium without test equip... How low is low for your PH? That may not be the problem / But it might be... What is the PH reading in your tank?

Also when you put the New fish into your aquarium, did you put the water that the fish was in from your LFS into your tank? If you did that you may have taken some of there problems and dumped them into your tank...
just a guess

well i took the clown fish in to my lfs and they dont know what it is but he is dead

No i know not to put the water from lfs in my tank so thats not it

My filter is backpack filter/ proten skimmer

I have one powerhead for current but my tank is only a 40 gal so the lfs said that was fine

and i have no shrimp or Golden Neon Gobys

I am doing the PH test now, the lfs did not tell me how low it was and i did not ask just wanted to fix it but i will find out now
