Am going to buy a new 55 at work.We sell perfecto 55s with lights twin 24s and plastic lids for $89.99.But we now have a allglass 55 with the built in overflow kit for $120 marked down from $180.I will run the new 55 from a sump on my central system But I own a 600gph HOB overflow box not in use.
So would you buy the perfecto or the allglass its been a week and I cant chose.

I'd go with the all glass, but that's just because I really like the clean look you can get with built in overflows.

I agree - built in overflows look a lot better

I kinda think the curved over flow in the 55s is a bit big IMO.
Dont set me wrong It looks great in larger tanks they could have downsized it a bit for the 55s.I will probialy buy the allglass but am waiting for an answer on the dime sized bullseyed (1/2 under rim on top in back) oceanic 72 bow might get that for $150 with the lids@light every one cross their fingers for me:) might get my answer today.

I'd probably go with the All Glass, simply for the ability to sleep better at night. You won't have to worry about that overflow box loosing siphon.

I've run over flows for years no loss of siphon EVER.
So I guess thats not the issue.
