Joe, I don't have personal experience - but have read some very mixed results from them on various boards. Some have praised them, others have trashed them merciilessly.

From the mixed results I would probably look elsewhere just to be safe

AZ gardens isn’t the best place to buy plants but I’ve heard of good results from aquatic plant depot (http://www.aquaticplantdepot.com/).

I wouldn"t reccomend oredering from Arizona Gardens, I had a very bad experience with them. I would try Aqua Botanic, very nice plants very good service.

Again, no experience with arizona gardens but I have ordered from floridadriftwood.com and I would recommend them. Healthy plants, good prices, quick shipping, and extra plants (at least for me).

I just ordered from them (I had not read ab9out all the bad experiences) and got my order Firday morning as scheduled and planned. It seems that they run their business in such a way as to discourage phone contact, which seems a poor business plan. Communicating with clients is important, especially when shipping live goods, but my since my single experience was normal, I ahve nothing to complain about. You gotta like their prices - maybe saving having a receptionist allows them to keep prices down.

I have ordered from them and had no problems, and will do so in the future.

I've ordered plant packages from them twice...back in 1998 and again about a month ago now.

They both went smoothly, the plants were in great shape, and everying was cool.

However this last time I did try to contact them to get shipping information...called twice and e-mailed once...without a reply. That's pretty annoying if you ask me. If there were any problems I'm sure I would have been pissed. But since it went smooth, I have no real complaints.

I don't have a problem with a company that gears themselves up to have minimal phone contact if any. Where I work there are so many people that should just fax or email because they have so many requests that a written record of it would be nice, and it would make more sense time savings wise. Plus a mail order business shouldn't need to be called unless something is wrong, if everything is right, which you won't be able to confirm until you get the correct order on time, then you shouldn't need to call the company at all.

Thanks all, and thanks Greentouch. I posted the question a little late. I should NOT have ordered from this "business". I only hope there are honest enough to give me credit back on my card! We ordered shrimp, SAE's and Flagfish. All shrimp are dead! Flagfish look sickly... SAE's are 'shuddering'.. Things are not good... I was told over the phone by someone at Arizona Aquatics: "I'll take care of you."

Yeah...... ok....... :(
