I have been using two diy bottles utilizing the jello mix formula for just over 24 hrs. I am getting some bubbles from each bottle but I am not sure how many it should be generating. I did a complete test of everything just before I introduced the co2 into the tank and now more than 24 hrs later my tank readings are exactly the same. I had expected the ph to drop or maybe the kh but no, everything has remained the same. My question is, since I live at approx 9500 ft. will I need to adjust the formula for my generators?

i would assume altitude would play a small part in how many bubbles come out but i cant say for sure. a good rule to go by is one bubble about every three seconds. some people do one bubble per second but ive found that is a little to much unless you know exactly how to dose ferts.

I have many more bubbles per sec than that coming from each of the bottles. I am using an air stone on each but I would say that each bottle is creating 6-8 bubbles per second. They are very small bubbles, nothing like a teenage girl would create with a mouthful of gum

lmao, well if that many bubbles is working out ok for you and not altering your ph to much i wouldnt worry about it. how are the plants looking?

well, the plants aren't looking all that great, and I am getting more and more algae growing on the leaves and other things in the tank.Thats why I decided to start the co2 generator. but I was under the impression that the co2 would alter my ph and kh and now more than 36 hrs later they haven't altered anything. Would I assume from those readings that I am not getting enough co2 into my tank?
