i currenlty have a 20 g tank, but i really want to get a bigger size. i found a 46 g tank, but i heard that it cant hold some of the type of fish i really want.
Im not 100% sure, on wether i should save a little more money and go for a bigger tank, or go with the 46g. i have a 80$ discount on any type of tank i want, so the 46 g total is 80 dollars, which is a good price i think..
opinions plz.
p.s i like yellow tangs, and love the blue tang *dori* ;)

Go for a 75 gal for a tang they love swimming room . I'd also encourage you to use live rock for filtration and a sand bed or a deep sand bed as a substrate.

For yellow tangs you need *atleast* a 55g, for blue/regal tangs, you need atleast a 75-100g. For one of each, I'd say min. 125g is nessisary with other fish being quite limited. The reasons being not only do these fish place a reall larger bioload on your system they need a lot of swimming room and get to "large" sizes of 8 inches in length for the yellow and 9-12 inches (depending on who you ask) for the blue.

I personally think the 65g is a really good size/dimensions - it's probably what I'm going to upgrade my 29g into in a few months.

Well, you'll need 1 to 1.5 lbs of live rock per gallon of water pumps you'll want as a minimum 10x per hour turn over rate for the tank water, lights etc. More is much better. It's hard to answer your fish question you have to make sure that the fish are compatible with each other as much as you have to watch size limitations.
