A couple of questions about Maracyn and Jungle Fungus Eliminator:
1) Has anybody used either of these products with success against fin rot?
2) How did any of these meds affect your plants?

I'll bump your post up so maybe somebody can help you. I don't have experience with the 2 you mentioned, but here is my experience with another....
The pearl danios I bought (not from my regular LFS, that'll teach me) and put in quarantine had mouth fungus. I used Furan-2, active ingredients nitrofurazone, furazolidone and methylene blue trihydrate....
Don't know which if any is in your products, or which caused my plant issues, but here goes... my quarantine tank is a jungle of plant cast-offs. Something in that medicine was not kind to my floating plant, salvinia natans. It turned kind of dark and gummy. No effect on the java moss, though.

Thanks Kveeti for your reply.
The active ingredient in Maracyn (from what I read on the net, since I don't have the package) is Erythromycin.
The active ingredients in Jungle's Fungus Eliminator is: sodium chloride, nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and potassium dichromate.
I've tried looking doing queries on the net to see about the effects on plants with either products and haven't had any luck. On the packaging for Fungus Eliminator it says that it's safe to use on live plants, however it also says that some live plants may be sensitive to it. So really, it seems to me that those statements are basically "use at your own risk with live plants" :p
