First of all, let me say a great big "THANKS GUYS" for all the most excellent help and advice I have been getting on this forum. You guys and gals are just great!:) It has been awhile since I last posted (jan), but I have been checking in everyday to see what is new.
I have a 75g, semi-planted (going for more soon!) tank, AC500 and 2 heaters, temp. 80F.
ph: 7.6 kh: 90 gh: 100 ammonia:0
and no test kit for nitrites or nitrates yet (I know, I know :( getting this soon though!) Water is slightly tinted by tannins from peat moss and driftwood. It looks great and the fish seem happy. I have 10 Cardinals, 10 rummynose , 1 male pearl gouramis, 3 bala sharks(I know they get big, planning to trade for smaller when the time comes) 1 harlequin, 3 long-finned danios, 2 silver-tipped tetras, 1 siamese fighting fish, a bushynose pleco and finally 1 surviving otto. All in all, a very peaceful tank. I change 10-12 gallons every week without fail. I feed them a varied diet of Tetra Color Bits, frozen bloodworms, peas, cucumber and the odd red grape. I make sure that they have 1 day of fasting a week, much to their utter dismay:eek:
so here's the questions: Am I doing this right? Is there anything that I should improve upon? Is it possible to add a few more fish? (Just love going to the fls:D )
So let me just say thanks again as I anxiously await your replies!:p
