What would you add or remove to my setup?

How about telling me what I'm doing wrong or right with this setup. I want it to house fish, shrimp and soft corals. No hard corals or anemones. I need some honest feedback.
Thanks,
Tom
100 gal long (6ft)
Berlin HO skimmer w\Mag 700
AquaC Remora Pro w\Mag 700 Too much power I think (anybody know the perfect size pump for this?)
CPR large AquaFuge 4.7gal w\Maxi 600
(2) 802 powerheads
(2)302 powerheads
(1) Maxi 600
No sump
200lbs LR
Sand on one side Crushed coral on the other (process of removing crushed coral every water change).
(2) 200w submersable heaters
(3) 175w Metal Halides. (2) with 10000k hamiltons (1) with 6500k Ushio
80 watts of NO Flourescent actinic
Water changes 40% once a month

I have access to another Berlin HO with a Mag 950. Should I use that too or swap one of the other ones?

Other than the crused coral ;) it sounds pretty good to me. I'd consider doing more frequent water changes though as you've had nitrate issues in the past and that will help you remove the cause of the nitrate issue faster.
hope this helps

Hey Max,
That does help. Thanks.

Do you think the nitrate removal material in a phos reactor will be effective or a waste of money?
Tom

Well, it will help but, so will removing your crused coral. It would at best be a short term fix that treats the symptoms not the disease. Same for the phosphate reactor it will remove phosphates etc. but, if you miss your maintainece you'll have problems.

In my honest opinion it's far better for you, the tank and your wallet if your tank does most of the work for you.
