very few plecos will eat hair algae, and they need to be fed other foods too like vegetables, wafers, and protein. maybe try an oto.
The only fish I have heard of eating hair algae are Rosy Barbs (but they may also tend to fin nip tankmates unless kept in a good-sized group), or there are Amano Shrimp.
