My oscar is about 1.5". What are some fish I could put in with that he would eat and keep him busy. Thanks for any suggestions.

He's not of a size to take anything but guppies and rosy reds, and maybe not even those. If you do feed him feeders, remember to quarantine them before the feeding frenzy begins, or else any diseases which they have caught by being in normal feeder conditions (cramped, unsanitary) will be available to Oscar.

Chil's right. Quarantining is very important with all of the disease ridden feeders. I hope you have a frozen or pellet food line up, as there isn't enough nutrition in just feeders. I'd only feed them as the occasional snack, like once every few weeks. If you want to keep him entertained, throw in an airstone or a small plant. He'll swim in the bubbles and toss the plant around till he's blue.

Feed him gut-loaded pin crickets. Gut-load(feed) the crickets flake fish food. The baby oscar will eat TetraMin Pro crisps at his size, as well as small pellet food. I would avoid feeder fish, just to be safe...but newly born livebearer fry is usually disease free, especially if the parents were bred by you.

The feeders should be quarantined for three to four weeks. I would recommend going another route!
