i want to put some barbs in my 125 gallon with a 7-8 inch oscar, do you think they would survive???

they can..but not for long. Your best bet it to get a school of prolly 4-5" tinfoil barbs.

then no, my slow moving channel catfish picked off my tiger barbs one by one in the night. The oscar will do the same.

Silver Dollars or Giant Danios are a safe option. My 6 tiger barbs were eaten by oscars within a couple of days!
