Hi,
I hoped I could get some ideas on the maximum Temperature range for most aquarium plants.

I've read that 18 - 23 degrees centigrade is the optimum.
I realise some spp. prefer a cooler period for part of the year.

Many people that I talk with seem to keep their tanks in the 74-80 degrees F range.
Hope that helps.

The lights on my tank keep the water between 80-82, sometimes up to 84. Initially I thought it was too warm, but it doesn't seem to bother plants or fish.

I want mine temp at 25*C (78*F) but it seems my lights always get it up around 27*. Everyhting except the vallisneria is doing fine, so I won't fight it.

When treating my planted tank for Ick I raised the temp in addition to adding medicine. I did notice that when the tempeture increased some of my plants growth changed. All the Hygrophilia difformis in my tank started growing wider leaves on shorter stem segments. It also affected the growth of my Ludwigia repens in a similiar way, although not as drastically. oher plants seemed to stop growing entirely. I ended up having to remove the new growths from these plants as it just looked wrong. I normally keep the temp of my tank around 76 - 78 but had raised the temp to 80 - 82. If you want to keep your tank's temp higher or lower than normal you may want to do some research and choose plants accordingly. :)
