New England Abroad.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig'

looks to be a great hue for a tank as well as being non-demanding and on the shorter side for the species...

any experience welcomed.

Thanks, Thomas.

polysperma is illegal to sell or trade here in the US. I will admit it is a nice fast growing plant, but after recent stings on supplyers and hobbiests buying banned plants I would not risk messing with this plant.

To inform yourself on this google noxious weed <your state> and federal noxious weed list. Each state may have additional plants on their lists above and beyond the comprehensive national list.

i keep it great plant, nice red color.

it gets traded at local auctions here for good $$ usually $10 for 5-8stems

Hi

True it is banned but is still traded very often through hobbiest. I have sold have shipped it a coulpe of times but buyer must be warned in advanced that all clipping not used or sold by them MUST go in the trash and no where else.

Very fast growing plant. Good for new tank start ups but demanding maintenance wise. If you let it grow, it will take over the top of your tank and shade plants below. Not light demanding but in my experience strong lighting is needed to bring out the bright pink colours.

about more than half of that list is regularly traded among hobbyists without restraint. This is more for wetlands/conservtionist info.
