Hi All,
Let me start by saying that I have kept aquariums for many years. I've kept quite a few oscars over the years as far as freshwater aquariums. For the past few years, I've been keeping Reef Tanks, and had great success. With that said, I'm thinking of getting back to freshwater, and I'm very interested in possibly keeping Discus. What I need to know is all of the particulars.
Water conditions, Lighting, Filtration, CO2, Possibly live plants, and other compatible fish, How many fish?
This is going to be in a 180g tank, but I want to get my info straight BEFORE I get started on this project. Since I've been away from freshwater for a few years, I need to know what is going on for filtration these days. Is it still a couple of good canister filters? Any info you can give me would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Feel free to give me any advice that would possibly help with my project.
Thanks in advance.
