I need plans for a 10 gallon, 20x10 stand, preferably in the medium ranged of difficulty to make. If anyone could post some I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I just built a stand for a twenty gallon a little while back. I don't have any plans but here is basicaly what I did. Four 2x4 for legs at thirty nine inches. I nailed them together with four cross supports, also 2x4s, top and bottom, and a center support. This makes sort of a rectangle almost like a box kite. I then nailed half inch ply-wood to it on three sides and the top, I chose the higher quality wood because I stained it and didn't paint it. That's it, it took me about four hours to do that and a hood. I had all of the wood in the garage so I have no idea how much it cost but a guess would be around thirty dollars (that good ply wood is expensive, but you don't want to use pressboard with water around anyway). I used four ninety six inch 2x4s and one sheet of ply wood. I don't know if this makes any sense but I hope it helps. You might just want to look at Big Al's though I know he has pretty cheap stands, you might be able to buy one for what the wood would cost.
Stands are 39.99 at Big Al's plus shipping. There are also DIY plans on this web site. What I was talking, or is that rambling, about looks like plan A except I put in a cross suport for extra stability and of course added the ply-wood. HTH

thanks for the replies... I had looked at the ones at big als... I really don't want to pay for shipping though. I also went to Petsmart but the smallest stands they had there were for 20 gallons (well the smallest wooden one actually) and it cost 60 dollars. I dislike the metal stands so I am going for wood.
thanks for the help... I also found a website that you can type in the stand size that you need and it generates plans for you. I will post it on this subject, it is bookmarked on my other computer.
thanks!
