I bought a healthy bandgaii card. at the lfs,,i seen him eat frozen brine shrimp at the store, trying to convert him to flake food,,,will these fish convert?

Frozen foods/freeze dried foods are a much better staple food for your fish. They will live longer and be healthier. Marine fish require a large variety of foods your other fish will also thank you. You wouldn't want to live off of turkey sandwiches only would ya ;)

IME, Bangaii's are hard to keep, especially if they are wild caught. If yours is eating I would just keep feeding him what he likes and get him nice and fat before you try to get him to eat flake food.

I have two, not sure if they were wild caught or not, I think they were captive bred. Regardless they ravenously devour anything I feed. Mysis, formula one or two, brine, krill, squid and yes flake also.......they get a variety and eat everything. Try feeding them just as the lights go out as they are nocturnal and they prefer to eat then.
