I was told that this is a golden shark, but can't find any info on it.

The cichlid on top is a jewel, but what about the one on the bottom?

I'd like to know what kind of cichlid this is (orange). The one at the bottom is a dojo loach, I believe.

What about the tetra type fish with the irridescent coloring in the middle?

What type of cichlid is this? It's bright pink and I love it....but the store clerk couldn't even tell me its name!

This cichlid was sooooo much more yellow when I bought him. Some days he turns almost all over black...other days, like in the picture, he has nice, defiled yellow and black stripes. What is the name of this cichlid?

Thanks for all of your help. I must have spend 2 hours online last night trying to find the names of these fish by browsing pics, but came up empty handed on these fish.

Ok at first glance I was thinking a white cloud mt. minnow but they are a cold water fish. Maybe Beckford's pencilfish but the photo is not 2 clear.

Hi,

I did a lot of reasearching and here is what I got.

The first pic in your first post is some kind of Rasbora I think, maybe a Spot-Tailed Rasbora (Rasbora caudimaculata).

The second pic in your first post is a Jack Dempsey for sure.

The third pic in you first post is a Red Zebra.

The first pic in your second post I think is a Spotted Headstander (Chilodus punctatus).

The second pic of your second post might just be a Afra Cichlid (Cynotilapia afra). If you type in that at google it might pop up one that looks just like yours, but it's yellow. It's the same species it's just a different color morph. Afra Cichlids have many different color morphs.

The third pic in your second post is a Auratus Cichlid (Melannochromis auratus). Like the Afra Cichlid, the Auratus Cichlid has many color morphs, and the one that pops on your screen maybe black, but it's the same species.

I hope this helps!!!

He wasn't asking about the headstander off to the left, but rather the tetra in the center of the first photo of his second post- that tetra would be a diamond tetra(Moenkhausia pittieri).

The very last pic is a male M. Auratus (very very mean little fish!).

I was thinking that the orange fish in the log by the dojo loach COULD be a Male P. Kennyi. On my computer screen, which is not the best (laptop), it looks like it has a slightly blue tint to the fins which my male had. Again, not sure if I am seeing things clear enough to judge right.

I wish I had known how mean that yellow/black cichlid was before i got him....he's the tank bully and I have no idea how to tame him. I have lots of hiding places and plants for the others to hide in. I guess I should add some more! Thanks everyone for your help!
I found out that the first picture is a Pink Tailed/Golden Shark (Leptobarus hoereni). I still can't find any info for it online! It's so frustrating!
I really appreciate it! I have some more that I need identified though. When I go to my LFS, they sell cichlids as "mixed cichlids" so I have no idea what they are. I just buy them because they're beautiful!

I just bought this cichlid today, but have no idea what it is!

What are any of these fish?

The one on top is a female convict.
Which fish are you trying to ID in the second pic?
