boiling water in fishtanks

This question is slightly off topic:

Is it safe to add boiling, or just-below-the-boiling-point water to your tank,
with regards to all things alive?

I do not mean that I would pour the boiling water on them directly. I am wondering about the physics of the very small bubbles, and how gills work.

With common sense applied, will I harm anything,or anyone?

A stand alone yes or no answer is all I need.
but the physics also interest me......

Thanks,

No, because of temp change and because the hot water will take up metals/minerals much faster than room temp or cooler water. The bubbles created won't make a difference one way or another.
