My heater died!!(i guess thats what I get for gettng the cheepest one) We wont be able to get another till this weekend! Is my guppy gonna be okay? My room gets down to about 62* at night. Would it be better to move her to my small bowl(its on of those bettaspere ones that I got as a present that is to small to use long term) where I can put her into the living room which only gets to about 66* at the lowest. Theres no way I can move my whole tank to the living room.
IS there any other way I can keep the tank warm?

WEll my whole problem is im completly broke(living off allowence casue im only a freshman in hs) and at the begining of me getting fish she made me promise she wont have to pay for anything even if I promise I pay her back

I have some feeder guppy frys in a bowl with no heaters and they've survive there for months now and it gets below 60F here. Keeping the temperature stable is probably more important than fighting to keep the temperature up. I would probably do the blanket thing as said before or if you have some styrofoams around the house I would use that instead.

so just completly forget the whole bowl idea?
Is that gonna cause more stress?

a ten gallon will have much more temperature stability than a bowl, so its best to leave where where she is.

HS is awsome isnt it? im a freshman too, and we have so much fun and my teachers are so funny LOL

One of my heaters, coincidentally, went bonkers today too. My tank was almost 90 degrees. The glass was warm to the touch. My poor fishies were cooking.

My experience with heaters taught me to not skimp on price. I have like 4 heaters now and only 1 tank.
