I have a 190 with a jack dempsey, green terror, red devil, dovii, jaguar, flower horn and polleni. They are all like 2 inches right now. What are the odds these fish will be able to coexist on a permanent basis. thanks

I read an artical on the dovii, There is a breeder somewhere with huge bins. They keep a dovii in a large tank with Red Devils. The devils stay away from the dovii. He goese to one side they go to the other. So they live with him and you might be able to keep one devil and one dovii as long as the devil can swim free. Plus these are teritoral fish so they need space. I think a 190 was sugested for a dovii and one other cichlid.
Also from what I read on another site they eat cichlids and are very smart fish hunters. I heard of keeping Terrors with them Green or Red but I would only try one other fish with him. Make sure if you get a Terror get a larg one. I think Red grow 20im or larger

Ok, here is the site wich talks about the red devils and what kind of fish work best witht he Dovii. http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_dovii.php
This sounds like an awsome pet. I loved my oscars personality but this seems to be even a smarter fish. If I had a 180 or larger I would have to own one.
Where do you find these fish? I havent seen one in real life yet.

I wouldnt house them together either, the Jack and Jag would fight and the other fish are very aggressive, I would'nt put them together in any tank size.

So far the red devil rules the tank. The polleni gets picked on the most. The Jag is funny because he never gets picked on and never picks on anyone else. The Green terror actually does the most picking. But, he is scared of the red devil and the Dovii. It is a very fun tank to watch.
When my GT was yunger he did all the picking as well. He at the most and grew the fastest. Now he is a gental fish. He just likes the other fish to know he is boss and then lets them be.
Sounds like you have a fun tank to watch. Hope you get to enjoy it for a while till you have to let some fish go.
Have you desided what fish to keep.
Where did you buy a Dovii?

I will probably get rid of the red devil and the jack dempsey eventually. I love the polleni the best, but he is taking such a beating I don't know how long he will last?
