Is there any kind of home remedy to getting a mushroom to stick where I want him?

You could try using super glue gel, a plastic cable tie, epoxy, fishing line..Anything like that which in non metalic to hold it in place..

I don't know why I didn't think of that... I used a loose rubber band.

rubberbands work best for me. superglue doesnt work because they are too slimey, especialy if you jsut cut them up, for them to stick to anything. and anything thin like fishingline i have noticed, although it works find for other corals, will jstu irritate the mushroom until it splits and you have two little peies, sometimes neither attached. you can also put them in a plastic up with some mmesh or cheese cloth over the top (to prevent them form being blown out) and some crushed coral or live rock rubble on the bottom. then once it attaches itself to that, you can use superglue gel.

put in small container like fishieness said. just put some small frags on the bottom and it will attach, never even had to use glue.

I just use bridal veil nets for them and xenia no fuss no muss and very seldome any bother,
