Tried to do a search for this, but it doesn't look like it's working, so I'm sorry if this has been posted previously. Just wondering how many of you use a quarantine tank when introducing new stock to your established tank? I've read a lot of material (books, online) that highly recommend this step. I'm going to set one up, it just makes sense to me. Has mutiple uses, quarantine, sick fish, etc. Of those that do use one, do you keep it pretty simple? Do you have substrate in it or just a couple of pieces of pvc pipe on the bare bottom? Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 29 gal QT. No substrate just a very cured piece of LR that I didn't want to move over to my main tank and small pieces of PVC for the fish to hide in. I keep a mesh bag of sand in my main tank's sump to move over to the QT when it is necessary for me to use the tank.(Instantly cycled tank)
