View Full Version : First salt water tank help

i just bought 2 blue damsels and when i bought them which was yesterday one was very active but one wasn't they would both eat but one is just really mellow but now when i got home from work and now both of them are now are just acting really mellow
this is my first saltwater tank and i know something is wrong but i don't know what? :confused::confused:

before we can help you we need to know;
how long has the tank been up?
did you cycle the tank?
what else is in the tank...live rock?
do you use a filter?
that's just for starts...there are more.

My tank has been up for 6 weeks
yes i did cycle the tank for 6 weeks
The only living animals in my tank are
my 2 blue damsels i have no living rock
yes i have a filter which uses a bio-wheel
i am just not sure what it's called but yes
i use a filter

ok, now I'm confused. When you say your tank is cycled and has no live rock or fish, how did you cycle your tank, the shrimp method?
Now we need to know your pH, salinty, and temp. If you have test kits ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate would be good to know too.
Sorry this doesn't sound so helpful yet, but nothing so far makes me say "ah ha!, that's it!"
