hi I have 2 dwarf puffers atm.. one of them look exactly like the pics with a dark color back w/ some dark green spot..
but i have this other dwarf, which is completely white.. it doesnt have the dark colored back but rather just pale-nish white all the way.. there are some very very faint spot like my other ones but its no where near as green or even vision from a far.. .is this normal?

Sounds like the pale one is stressed. And it could also be a stressed Male, which IME have a more golden/green coloring as opposed to the females olive green.

Here is a pic for you...the Male is in front, the Female swimming into the plant behind. Does this look similar to yours?
...sorry about the quality, I'll try to find a better one.

You may have 2 different species, T. travancorius, and Cf. travancorius. For more info on the difference try the following link.

Ya, thats what my lfs had them labled as "Pea Puffers"
Have you tried feeding them tiny pond snails yet...it's hilarious.
I get them from the lfs for about 1 cent a piece. I feed my little pack 10 per month...they love them :D

I can't believe your lfs charges you for them. What a rip-off!

Tell me about it, the first one I checked with wanted 10 cents a piece, I laughed and left. I'm hoping a couple survive in the tank long enough to have babies....free food. No luck so far.:p
