thats handy to know skippy...we were going to get one since they are a totally gorgeous fish, but the LFS advised against it as we have a tank of corals...

From my understanding, it is just a totally hit or miss. I'm lucky that mine behaves. I call him Brutus only because he divebombs the other fish from time to time.

CORAL BEAUTYS ARE reef safe they don`t bother any corals its the most well behaved dwarf angel there is now you could say a flame angel will take a nibble at the odd coral but the coral beauty is a reef safe dwarf angel unless you was to be very un lucky but it would be very unlikely
Coral Beauties are cautioned to be put in a reef tank- one of those, may work out for one but not for another.
Anyway, if you decide to add them both, I would add the Yellow Tang last.

I agree with sapgranth in that, if anything, it is the flame angels that are more likely to bother corals than coral beauties would. But at the same time I also agree with Skippy that it's really hit or miss. I would say most of the time coral beauties will be very well behaved and not bother any corals, but there are few exceptions out there, and I've seen those few personally. I wouldn't say it's an extremely rare case. I think it happens... This seems to be the common thing among all considered reef safe dwarf angels out there including flame and potters. They are generally ok, but there are few exceptions. The other thing to add is that I noticed my flame angel begin to bother corals few months after I got him. So sometimes, if you get one of those "exception" ones out there, it may take a long while for them to fully adjust to the environment before "unleashing" their true-self.
Going back to the original question... Yes, coral beauty and yellow tang should get along fine... Just avoid adding another fish that is closely related to either of the two though as they both become pretty aggressive against their own kinds.

A 29 is way too small for a yellow tang.:(

if the fish are doing fine then how is it wrong?

if the fish are doing fine then how is it wrong?because tangs are very active fish, and need wide, open space in which to roam. i'd say 55G abosoilute minimum due to their adult size of 8", but a 70G would be a wiser choice.

I've got one of each in a 75 FOWLR tank and they don't bother each other at all. My CB is really timid though. I don't think they ever had any problem even at first when I got them. It seems my fish live pretty much in harmony.
