A friend lent me 9 of his F0 Synodontis Multipunctatus last August 2005. I initially had them alone in a 50 gallon tank then decided to transfer them into a 75 gallon tank with an established peacock colony. Months past and nothing ever happened. End of last year, I eventually decided to transfer them into another 75 gallon tank containing another colony of peacocks. On January, I noticed that 1 of the peacocks was holding and assumed that as usual its throat was just full of peacock eggs/ fry. I proceeded to strip, gently opening it's mouth to peek at the eggs/ fry. To my surprise, what stared at me were not peacock eggs/ fry but synodontis fry! :D I stripped 9 out of the female and transfered them to a 5 gallon tank. me so happy!.

looking good!

Awesome - I've set up a tank just for that myself. I have the final bunch of cats coming in next week. I assume by your avatar the peacock colony are Bi-Colors?

Nice, I'm surprised you got 9 catfish fry from a single cichlid, When the little buggers hatch they eat the cichlid eggs, then each other. Baby Syno's are tough to beat for cuteness too...
