Yea, the two on either end are fake, but the anacharis in the middle is real. I just cut them last week when they were half that size.

that's a pretty slick move. but then, it may go the other way and your live plants may be perceived as fake. :D

is the big white tube the output of the co2 system?
or the return from the uv sterilyzer? are you running the uv thing 24/7? sorta sticks out. maybe you can find black tubing for it.

the aquarium is pretty awesome. it warms my heart to know that some youth in america can enjoy a big tank without thinking rtc or arrowanna, or any other typical tankbusting fare.

and i thought the light shining outside the tank is a little distracting but it probably isnt as noticeable to humans but the camera picks it up.

andruboz: Yea, the white tubes are for the u.v. I usually push it up behind the lip of the filter so you don't see it, but it falls out all the time, so I just leave it. I will fix it a good way soon though. Yea, I keep the u.v. on 24/7.Yea, the light is distracting in pics but if you were here, you wouldn't notice it as much. Thanks for the compliments.

dbcb314: It's Onyx Sand made be SeaChem.

I think the plant is a MoneyWort. They are good hardy plants. I did find out FlagFish like to eat on them..

At least one of those looks to be a Bandit Cory (C. metae) rather than the Bronze Cory (C. aeneus).

My vote for the new plant is Lysimachia nummulariua 'aurea' aka yellow lysimachia aka Lloydelia. You should notice some white rootlets coming out form below a leaf soon. Nice plant. Check out Tropica's site for more on this and other species:

Thanks Tom, it is that. I see those roots too.

I guess I saw a band over the eye of the leftmost one, but you have a better view of your fish, so I will defer to you then.

The car he's talking about is the ornamental smacked-up car you have in your aquarium in the left front corner. Had it so long you don't notice it anymore?:p

looking good NJ - but I still can't get over how you buy plants without knowing what they are.

Its hard to tell from a picture, but another possibility for that plant is Cardamine

NJ Devils Fan

I buy them because no one at the store knows what they are. So instead of taking over a week to buy a plant, I just buy it and then ask the name here, and get some info.

Sorry Superstein, but I also own some Cardamine and his plant is definitely not Cardamine. Cardamine has single larger round leaves coming from a more viney looking stem.

Pennywort is more simialr to cardamine. Bacopa might be a reasonable guess but having seen that at my lfs I still say he has Lysimachia aurea.

Tom, you are probably right - I am not usually good with these picture IDs - If I can't see it in person, I usually guess wrong - LOL

Sharp NJ.
Is the black background just cardboard? It really defines and sharpens what's in the tank. If you remember, you gave me the advice to background my tank with cardboard. Real glad I did :)

Almost the same as cardboard, construction paper.
