im re-doing my ninety... so far im thinking electric blue ahli, chipokae, electric blue johanni, kenyi, brichardi, red empress, venustus and maybe another one or two... not sure yet. basically wonderign if these guys will all get along ok in the same water quality, etc. ive had africans before but mostly stuck with zebras. also, id like to try to stick with fish from the same area btu ive yet to find any book or site that has a list of common africans and their origin. if anyone has any recommendations that would be fantabulous. thanx.

Everyone you listed with the exception of the Brichard's are Malawian, with the brichardi being a Tang. I'd cut out one of the three aggressive mbunas, so you only have pair of: johanni, chipokae, or kennyi. The least aggressive there is proooobably the chipokae, but they're all big trouble. In a 90 though a pair shouldn't bother the middle dwelling haps. If you don't do any of those three you could put in the brichardi, which stay lower but aren't aggressive enough to really hold their own against mbunas. Some good catfish for the the tank would be Synodontis multipunctatus and S. petricola, both from Tanganyika. You could go with the Malawian S. njasse, but they're like $50 a pop, so that's up to you.
