I just witnessed some very disturbing behavior from my dwarf gouramis. I have two, 1 male and 1 female that have been in my 10 galon tank for about a week now and they have been doing good or so I thought but just now I saw the male litterally bent around the female. And I mean that, He was bent around her like he thought he was some kind of boa constrictor or something. very disturbing. The fish looked like an U. Its the first time I see those two acting like that. The male has been chasing the female around a little bit but they have been mostly keeping to separate sides of the tank.

anyone knows what is going on please help me

That's the mating dance of anabantoids.

Just watch to make sure that the female is handling this well. If not, you need to separate the two.

Has he made his bubble nest, or is he jumping the gun like one of the dorks on "Blind Date"?

Good stuff! You obviously have your dwarfs in good condition(s)

Is there a 'pile' of bubbles at the surface of the tank? Did they u-bent under it? Is the male harassing the female, but shes still coming back for more?

If so, you've just bred your dwarfs. Excellent! Expect up to 600 eggs from one spawning - (this can last HOURS) ....although you're prob looking at much less eggs. I kinda counted 350 from one spawning.

Heres the £1,000,000 question... do you want to raise any fry? If you do, mail me and I'll tell you what I did. Not quintessential, but it worked for me!
