hi,
i have been trying for months to get a group of 5 plecos to breed in my outdoor pond (above ground). its a 500g and has a gravel base in it, with logs, some lillies and a few ferns.
is there anyone out there, anyone, who has even bred these big blighters and has any tips. there must be atleast 1 female in all that, so i dont know what im doing wrong.
please help

common plecos? if so they prefer caves dug in the clay walls of rivers/ponds.

i think one of the biggest factor is having them in a large enough "container" if you had a big enough aquarium it might work. from what i hear they need to be quite large to breed also.
