Its not a hybrid acctually.. a glofish is a zebra danio with an added gene for color

its breeding a zebra danio with a zebra danio... it will create a fully functional (fertil) purebred species with a couple added genes for fins and color.... that is not a hybrid

no reason they would be sterile.. they arent hybrids-- there is just an added gene for color.. thats the only difference, they didnt mess with anything hormonal or anything

glofish+danio=glofish with blue stripes
i tried it and now mine is like 6 months old......so much cooler than normal or glofish
