not many vets will work on tropical or any fish for that matter, anesthesia is very difficult to control if not impossible. any idea what is grown over it's eyes? what are tank conditions?

I know that many people use pot scrubbers in their filters, has anyone had any problems with residual chemicals or something that may be on them from the manufactor? I'm afraid to use them, thinking multiple rinsings may not be enough to remove 'whatever' from them. your thoughts/advice...

This little guy had a difficult birth yesterday and with the wind chill of -35* was having a very tough time, brought into the house to warm and feed and now he's doing great.
