We turn all our tank filters off for about 30 mins while feeding, less food wasted.
We have not noticed any problems with the filters..canister or h.o.b. over about 15 tanks.

anubia are bullet proof!
Iv had mine flowering at under a watt per gallon. My oldest plant has a 26 inch rhizome and had produced 50 or more plants, its about 7 years old and has survived many moves and weeks in buckets.
Had a baby...so while I am still in the hobby I have little time between work baby and my hobby to post. I do try to help out when I can around here.
The hobby is booming in our area I have been selling lots of fish threw stores and soon to start on Aquabid.
I have kept and bred many killifish, they are all bullies for the most part but Other than golden wonders I have not seen them directly kill a fish, what size tank are they in? is it planted?
I like sand..just plain old playsand cleaned really well. you can use pool filter sand as well!
for the root feeders just use some root tabs, plants seem to grow really well in it.
