    Should I flush?

Again, I was not intending to flush ALIVE. I wanted further advice to see if she could be saved. I would've rather had the chance to put her out of her misery than to sit back and watch her die. I tried the peas again, but alas she would not eat them. Toothpick and all, she would not eat...

    Should I flush?

I wasn't intending to flush her alive. I would've done something to finish her off. And yeah, I've tried fasting. I'm gonna try the pea thing one more time. She can't really swim away so I'm gonna try sticking it on a tooth pick and seeing if that will work. I really hate to see her die. She is...

    Should I flush?

I have a female betta, and she's been constipated and bloated for months and months. I tried many unsuccessful times to feed her things that would help her make a bowel movement. She refused to eat them. After a while I just gave up. I figured she would die, and she didn't. Her activities were...

Is there a way to determine the sex of a fancy gold? I just assume both are males, but I wasn't sure

    One eyed Oranda

I know someone who has a blind koi. He's small, but not the smallest in the pond, and he does alright. He used to bring them in during the winter, and I would make sure to watch when I fed them that he got to the food. He reacts well to changes and vibrations in the water. I would...

    Sick Oranda

10 gallon, set up for 6-9 months, fish size 1-1.5" nirates were a little high. everything else was within range except the tank water was a little warmer than usual. I put him in a hospital tank and treated him with maracyn 2. he's doing much better. I just kind of freaked out.

    Sick Oranda

I went away for two days and I came home to a sick fishy. He seems to have a bit of fin/tail rot, although its not too severe. What problems me most is the redness of him. He is usually all orange. When I saw him he is really red behind his gills. I have medicine that I have been treating him...

    Upside down fishie! Help!

Everything is fine. It's a 20 gallon. I had it cycling for over 3 months before I got fish for it. I've had them for 3 or 4 months now. I do frequent water changes. I've done more because of a brown algae problem. Last change was two weeks ago because I've been busy with the holidays.

    Upside down fishie! Help!

I have two red & white ryukins. For the past 2-3 days one of them has been at times floating upside down at the top of the tank. As soon as he sees me, he flips over and proceeds with his activities normally. I feed them sinking pellets, so he doesn't usually surface unless he gets overexcited...
