Any thoughts on the best ick medicine? There's so many to choose from, just wanted some suggestions! Thanks!

Theres the natural remedy of raising the temp and ading salt. The medicine I used awhile ago and recommend is QuICK Cure. Worked very effectivly.
quickcure works wonders but be aware that it is very very stressful on bottomfeeders and salt is not good for bottomfeeders they don't like it much so its hard toss up between the 2 to use also if you have black mystery snails take them out before you treat your fish for it will probably kill them. best bet for ick is the quickcure though its fast and effective but as i said ver sressfull on your fish as you are medicating add more bacteria to your water to cut down on the stress of your fish they will need it and don't get to scared if they hang out in corners or on hte bottom its just stress.
Hey damion, how exactly did you treat them? Like tell us the procedure you used to cure your fish, cause i currently have Aquari-sol and don't seem to get any results, I've used a whole bottle already. Did you do any water changes?
Of the people recommending or disrecommending AquariSol, how many have noticed the active ingredient is "zycosin?" What percent of those people did a brief www.google.com search: "zycosin?"

I wonder whether people who found Aquari-Sol didn't work for them were using dechlorinators that have conditioners included? "A little extra dechlorinator never hurts!" Do you see what some extra chelator molecules dissolved in the water might do to "zycosin?"
Is everyone aware of the pH dependence of copper toxicity? What happens, after you've used a whole bottle (!!!) when your pH drops six weeks from now, from whatever causes? Mysterious toxicity, eh?
All this talk of brand-names, and so little mention of ingredients. It's the ingredients that are important...

No staining, no pH crashes. Wipes out a bunch of stuff though, some you may not want to get rid of.
Wipes out a bunch of stuff, meaning like beneficial bacteria? So if you use formalin, do you have to cycle you tank all over again after?
Just a question - wouldn't a UV sterilizer (if you had one) kill the ich in the water column stage, thereby stopping the process of infestation?
