I recently purchased a used 180 gallon tank (6x2x2) and although it came with a stand, it was a pretty weak homemade one with kitchen cabinet doors and paneling that had about 5 coats of thick paint on it. It could have worked, however I live in a very small studio and space is at a premium so I need function over aesthetics, but still not an eyesore.
I have no blueprint laid out other than the idea that I need a box that will support a HEAVY aquarium. Im familiar with construction techniques, and know my way around tools, so without further ado...
I just bought my lumber tonight so I will give a price list of the items I bought, and pics will start tomorrow

2- 1/2" plywood sheets $27.76
1 pack cedar shims $ 4.50
1 32oz spray bottle (vinegar) $ 3.98
2 1/2" weatherproof deck screws 2 lbs $15.78
3" weatherproof deck screws 2 lbs $15.78
Pressurized tube of construction glue $ 7.98
