For those of you who like any kind of shrimp, the Wood Shrimp is a must have. Mine is just over an inch long and beautiful as can be. When I picked him up the other day I just thought he would be a nice addition to the tank since I have some good pieces of driftwood in there. At the time he was a brownish color, to match his surroundings and his name ;). The other day he "shed" a layer of skin like a snake. I'm not sure the exact term for this, but ever since he has become a stunning bright red color. I'm not sure why this happens, but he is beautiful now. If you guys don't have one, try and order one from your LFS or any fish supplier that is available to you. The way he eats is quite interesting as well. He has four arms that have a small set of "Hands" at the end. Surrounding those hands are what appear to be small hairs the resemble a feather on a bird. He likes a little current because what he'll do is find a spot in the tank with constant flowing water and hold his hands up high in which those feather-like hands filter small particles in the water which he eats. Here is a picture below, not nearly as pretty as mine though :D...

He is lightning fast compared to the others in the tank and he hangs out towards the top of the water so no one notices him. The tank is thick with silk plants, driftwood, and large rocks so he has many places to hide.
