Hey all. I have a pair of balas in my 90 gal and recently they have started paying a lot more attention than usual . They will swim together and do moves akin to snakes mating. Are they mating and how do I tell which is the boy.?
They are about 2 inch's long.

Well there ignoring each other as usual today. Kind of neat to watch but nothing seems to have come of it.

I watched a pair of Balas do the same thing in the office tank. It just seemed they were very happy at the time because I had just fed them after a 5 day fast (the owner of the tank neglected to come by and feed them for almost a week).

They swam around playing through bubbles and swimming around an against each other. Hasn't happened since.
