Yesterday my convicts started freaking out whenever they saw me moving. The water checked out fine but I did a waterchange anyway. I have three females and one male in a 45g tank (one of the females I thought was a male). They are eating still and if I don't walk by the tank they resume their normal activity. Also the less dominant male seems to be wanting to mate and is coming out of hiding and staying by the pot until a female chases him. Two of the females colours are very intense and it looks like they may lay eggs soon. Could this activity be due to the male wanting to reproduce? They aren't acting as if they are having health issues.
